Large basements lie beneath the main hospital building and the nurses home.  These basements were used primarily to house service piping and electrical cabling, however, in the basement below the main hospital is the X-Ray room, a laundry and large storage cellars.  A narrow tunnel connects the main building to the boiler house and engine rooms at the rear of the site.
